LE CHALLENGE AFRICAIN

Across Africa, gender and national skills development are becoming a priority, often with a requirement for local content. This is a challenge for organisations providing talent identification, local integration, administrative processes, medical benefits, salary payments, training and career development which has led DI-Africa to build its organisation on the basis of strong local subsidiaries (rather than a Europe-based organisation).

In addition, DI-Africa has, since its creation, integrated training as a fundamental objective structuring its organisation.

OUR BUSINESS LINES

DI-Africa is involved in the entire recruitment cycle, from identification to mobilization of talent, regardless of the stage of development of the projects.

DI-Africa assists clients and subcontractors in the various levels of intervention required by their projects, whether they are energy (fossil, renewable, hydraulic, nuclear...), mining, industrial or infrastructure, in all its territories.

To facilitate the transition of their activities towards an agile and sustainable mode of operation, DI-Africa supports its customers in the implementation of their projects with proprietary tools that adapt to all stages of their projects.

We are convinced that integrating the value chain of a project as locally as possible contributes to the creation of wealth and responds to environmental and societal issues.

Therefore, we believe it is essential to promote the following skills locally: project control, engineering and contract administration, cost control, planning, scheduling, document control, procurement and logistics. These cross-sectoral skills allow us to diversify safely and reliably, relying as much as possible on local talent.

Our expertise in the Energy and Industry sectors gives us the know-how and credibility to support our clients in the development of individual skills.

Finally, our local proximity, our DNA and our African roots position us as a key player in their projects, and on which we can help and support very quickly.

As a real lever for growth and improvement for companies, digital transformation is both an economic and cultural upheaval, that is sometimes difficult to manage.

DIA supports its clients in their digital experience to help them benefit from these new technologies and improve the control of their processes.

This technological transition is changing the client/supplier relationship in the field of human resources. It allows us to innovate and differentiate ourselves.

DI-Africa is particularly at the forefront of the digitalization of Human Resources services, a field that lends itself particularly well to this and that brings many advantages:

  • Automation of often repetitive processes, thus reducing costs and time

  • Quality assurance through strict adherence to precise task sequences

  • Creation of a secure and accessible archive

  • respect for the security of personal data.

Please do not hesitate to consult us on this subject.

The role of the Project Management Office (PMO) is increasingly identified as crucial once the project exceeds a certain size.

Organizations are striving to improve their project management practices to achieve objectives such as:

  • Coordinating diverse tasks and aligning them with strategic objectives

  • Ensuring good coordination between stakeholders

  • Fostering effective collaboration between stakeholders

  • Developing skills

  • Focusing efforts on realizing the value of organizational investments through effective benefits realization management.

It is the role of the PMO to contribute to the success of projects by performing these many roles.

While no two PMOs are alike, it is clear that this function is becoming increasingly important in many organizations that want to develop this role as a strategic function, often in partnership with business leaders.

The main objective in this field is to ensure compliance, i.e. respect for the legal, social and fiscal rules that apply. Indeed, when a company is implicated, the financial, commercial and human consequences can be serious.

DI-Africa ensures that laws, regulations and conventions are properly complied with thanks to its detailed knowledge of the local situation; in Africa, regulations are often complex, differ from one country to another, evolve rapidly and may be inconsistent from time to time, which implies finding a pragmatic approach to risk reduction. Within DI-Africa, the compliance officer (generally a legal person, a partner from the local legal community) ensures that the client company is protected from potential risks.

In Africa, many initiatives have been undertaken on the continent to promote financial inclusion of the population. This is an important issue to ensure that the population (1) secures its financial reserves, (2) gives it the means to acquire products and services remotely, (3) accesses financial services such as credit or insurance and (4) can help their family members remotely.

Financial institutions find it difficult to bank certain socio-professional groups for cost reasons. DI-Africa participates in this dynamic of financial inclusion by providing its unbanked employees with adapted electronic media such as prepaid debit cards or airdrop (Mobile Money) when local regulations allow it.

DI-Africa approaches the notion of sourcing from two angles:

  • A local approach, as close as possible to the field and where many criteria of good functioning and performance are taken into consideration, well beyond the notion of talent

  • An international approach, on a vast perimeter, thanks to its active database covering both technical and human skills.

For both approaches, DI-Africa validates the candidates' skills through interviews, tests, and reference checks, and organizes the necessary additional training if required.

QUALITY, HEALTH, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENT (QHSE)

SAFETY

The safety of our employees is our top priority.

We have developed an HSE system that is based on recognized good operating practices in the industries in which we operate. This system is adapted to local regulations and to the specificities of these industries.

If training is required in this area, we are able to organize it. However, we strive to remain simple and pragmatic with a human approach focused on performance and benevolence.

QUALITY

Since its creation, DI-Africa has been committed to developing a quality assurance system in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard, with systematic recording and processing of all non-conformities

Our processes are dematerialized and defined in our management system which is accessible to all.

We strive to automate as many processes as possible to achieve "0 defects" / "0 paper" at the lowest cost.

Health, Safety and Environment is the body of knowledge that studies and implements the practical aspects of quality (occupational and environmental risks within organizations) in the form of an integrated management system.

Given the links between the different areas of a company, the HSE (or QHSE) officer is involved in the quality, safety and environmental management of the company. In this capacity, he or she is responsible for ensuring the safety of staff, their training in prevention, compliance with standards and the reliability of the company's installations.

The QHSE issues are numerous and call for transversal knowledge that concerns the entire company.

This knowledge becomes one of the first building blocks of a well-established client-supplier relationship, the spearhead of any DI-Africa approach.

Health insurance policies taken out internationally, or locally, must be carefully studied. It is a matter of acquiring the right coverage, corresponding to the right trip and integrating the possible transit zones. This is a tailor-made service that requires several partners, each with specific know-how.

DI-Africa's strength lies in its ability to offer an à la carte service allowing you to concentrate on your project with complete peace of mind. By health, we do not only mean the inconveniences of daily life, we also mean providence, disability or even death. It is reassuring not to wonder about the capacity of an establishment to take care of you or about the capacity of a partner to repatriate you.

Whether it is a long or short term intervention, our health insurance abroad guarantees that all health and medical expenses will be covered. You even have the possibility of passing on the benefits to your dependants.

Insuring is also anticipating. The accreditations necessary for the smooth running of your projects (e.g. BOSIET, HUET) are part of our offer. Our partners will provide you with the necessary and useful fundamentals for the accomplishment of your tasks, with an international accreditation at stake. Your safety is at stake, as well as that of your project partners.

Our QHSE department is the guarantor of our processes; it is at your disposal to inform you about the current referencing processes and other statistics.

If you need information about our processes, or simply want to ask us for advice or ask a question, please contact our QHSE department at the following email address: qhse(AT)di-africa.com
